Chapter student Brooklynne Pimpo was one of 96 junior golfers from chapters of The First Tee from across the country selected to attend the Life Skills and Leadership Academy in late July. The 2017 Academy was held at East Lansing, MI conducted by The First Tee home office and was hosted by Michigan State University and The First Tee of Mid-Michigan.

“We are very proud that Brook was selected to attend. She is an excellent participant to represent our chapter,” said Andrew Hunt, Chapter President. “Our chapter was founded in 2012 and Brook is our first student to attend a national event.”

“It was a life changing trip,” said Brooklynne. “I miss the university because the incredible campus is bigger than my hometown! I made many new friends including the students, coaches and home office staff. The highlight of the trip was I won the Academy Q-School and learned valuable leadership and skills that I will use in all aspects of my life and golf game.”
